Surprise a Burnt Out Friend with Lunch Delivered

March 08, 2010

You know a great thing about Eat24Hours? I do and I am going to share with you right now. Eat24Hours is perfect for when you want to brighten someone’s day. It is easy to surprise a friend who is burning both ends of the candle at their desk. You can easily get online on the Eat24Hours website, enter your friends work location, and find restaurants in their area that deliver. Then all you do is pick what you think they would enjoy and order a great lunch for delivery to their desk. You pay online when you order, so your friend receives a real treat – A great lunch delivered and they don’t have to pay a dime. It is like getting flowers delivered except you get to eat the gift! So when you have a friend burning it at both ends, give them a little break in their world with a great meal delivered.

I am an accountant, and this time of the year is swamped with tax returns. My regular staff and all the temps that I hired put in very long days. No one really has a chance to go out to lunch. So, good boss that I am, I cater lunch for them 6 days a week. We stagger our lunch times, eat a good lunch and/or dinner and still get the work done. We close the office and stay at home on Sunday. I have a dedicated staff and I feel like it’s the least I can do for them.

I have a great long time friend and neighbor who runs a day care. Her day starts at 6:00 am and her last kids leave at 6:00 pm. Then she has to clean up from the day before she can even think about preparing supper for her family. Every Friday I get online and go to Eat24Hours to order dinner for my family and hers. I have it delivered to my home and we blend our families for the meal. The kids get pizza, their favorite and they take over the family room for some quality kid time tv, games and food. The adults get the dining room for some much needed adult food, drink and conversation. It’s a deal that works for everyone.

I have plenty of friends who would enjoy this, but I think charity starts at home. So, every Friday, I rescue me! I get online and order dinner, everyone gets their favorites. It really sets the tone for a relaxed and successful weekend. We have 6 boys, all teens, all play sports. You can imagine what our lives are like. Not all of them drive and it seems like none of them are ever headed in the same direction at the same time. Thanks to Eat24Hours, I get a much needed breather.
